Interior renovation of a dwelling in Barcelona
Data
Description
The renovation reclaims a former study and storage space in the Coll neighborhood, located on the ground floor of a family house on a site with a significant slope.
The project proposes a minimal yet highly efficient intervention: the space near the façade is opened up to create an open kitchen-living-dining area. Services and storage are solved within a large transversal piece of furniture that distributes the house. At the same time that privacy is provided to the bedroom, a large section is separated to be used as a workshop.
The entire intervention is designed with a wooden framework that unifies the interior elevation of the main piece. Thus, the kitchen, storage modules, and dividing elements integrate, establishing an order that creates an harmonic backdrop.
